The Beastie World of Richard Scarry

Been listening to the Beastie Boys all evening. This is one of my favourite mashups and Popped Culture's tribute to Adam Yauch.

Chopping Down A Door In A Cop Montage!

A literal video version of Sabotage by dascottjr. This Beastie Boys video is great, no matter what people do to it.

The cat pic is to prevent auto-banning of the video, as media companies still have their shorts in a knot about copyright and parody. You can see the non-kitty, unembedable version here.

Galactica: Sabotage Comparison

A remake of The Beastie Boys Sabotage, using action scenes from Battlestar Galactica, matching the Spike Jonze original shot for shot — or at least as close as you can match a remake of a space drama to a '70s cop movie homage. Which, as it turns out, is really closely.

The Underwire tracked down mashup creator Katie King, a self-described "media-obsessed chick who digs all things sci-fi."

A few favourites I've found while surfing about — share and enjoy!

Richard Scarry mixed with the Beastie Boys. So clever and fun that I keep watching it over and over again. Originally stumbled upon over at Layercake, a source of much goodness.

Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit, set to incredibly appropriate scenes from the original Star Trek. This makes me happier than it should. I first ran across it over at Boing Boing.

The Passion of the Christ with Benny Hill Yakety Sax chase music. It's sacrilicious. Thanks to Fandumb, via Culture Kills.
