Go-Go-Gadget Commands

Gadget Industries top secret gadget activation voice commands by Dave Perillo for Bottleneck Gallery's  upcoming Gizmos and Gadgets show. What is Inspector Gadget's backstory anyway? Is he just a happier Robocop? A blissed out Wolverine who volunteered to be transformed? Who made him?

I always wanted the X-Ray Specs and the Sea Monkeys, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Dave Perillo imagines some comic book ads for some truly awesome things.

Super Punch Tarot Cards

"For the third anniversary of pop art website Super Punch (a blogging inspiration to me), John Straun invited artists to create Tarot cards and the collection is now being showcased at the Bear and Bird Boutique + Gallery in Lauderhill, Florida. These are just a few of my favourites from the 74 different cards.

Gary & Wyatt's Guide To Actually Making A Girl

If Anthony Michael Hall was able to conjure Kelly LeBrock out of a computer in 1995, why can't I do the same on my laptop in 2011? Get on that, Internet!

Actually Making a Girl, by Dave Perillo. Inspired by Weird Science, for Gallery 1988's upcoming John Hughes tribute show. (Link via Clutch Blog)

Never Mind The Sex Pistols Saturday Morning Cartoon

"What if the Sex Pistols had a cartoon in 70's produced by Hanna Barbera?" If you're illustrator Dave Perillo you don't have to wonder, you can just draw it. Pretty vacant? Hardly.  And the British punks had a companion show with the Ramones.

Perillo: "They could drive around and solve mysteries and argue with each other, they'd even have a scrappy alley cat sidekick named Bonzo." I only wish they existed.

Ya Gotta Know When To Hold 'Em...

Huh. Racer X, young Bob Dylan, young Jerry Garcia, Peter Lorre, Dwight Shrute from the Office and a dishonest Abe Lincoln playing a game of poker, from a commission by pop artist Dave Perillo. I have no idea why and he doesn't explain, but no matter as I love the style. But if you care to speculate of the connections...
