Steamboat Millennium Falcon and The Electric Max Rebo Mayhem

Now that the Disney's purchase of Star Wars has sunk in, there are a few more mashups appearing, including Brendan Tobin's Han Solo & Chewbacca, Steamboat Willie style (above) and Sean McFarland's Electric Mayhem vs Max Rebo Band, both for The Line it is Drawn.

Who wouldn't want to see a live performance of Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem? I've been a fan ever since hearing Can You Picture That in The Muppet Movie. Barring that ever coming true, I will have to satisfy myself with Michael De Pippo's Dr. Teeth concert posters, available at Acme Archives.

C Is For Chewie

Pop artist James Hance has a "new exhibition of new and classic works by James Hance - Muppets, Fraggles, Goblins from the Labyrinth, Goonies, Superheroes, imaginary friends and childhood idols come to life (not literally, that would be terrifying) on canvas, for one night only - come enjoy a visual and audible feast for your misbehaving inner child!"

Saturday Morning Glory - Doodles From the Naughty Step is showing in Jacksonville, Fl., this Saturday, so I don't know how many of you could actually attend, but hopefully some of the prints will be on display at his site.

I don't know if c is for chewie is part of the show but his latest painting, Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem is.
